COURSE

Arizona National Golf Club is one of Tucson Arizona’s finest desert golf facilities. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. in 1995, the golf course, is nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Santa Catalina Mountains adjacent to the Coronado National Forest. The desert golf course follows the rugged natural flow of the land across shady mesquite-lined ravines and skirts along craggy rock outcroppings. Along the way, Arizona National Golf Club’s diverse 6,785 yard layout will throw enough decisions and classic golf-in-the-desert challenges at you to test the very limits of your golf ability. Yet, the golf course has the flexibility to do so without ever becoming unfair or boring. You will enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery of any golf course in Southern Arizona, with panoramic mountain vistas, forests of giant saguaro cacti and the rare beauty of nine natural springs.

The Arizona National golf club is nestled in the foothills of Tucson's Santa Catalina Mountains. The course follows the rugged natural flow of the land through rocky outcroppings and a forest of giant saguaro cacti. A series of rare desert springs are what gives the course its name and makes it a perfect retreat for your next golf vacation package. The course has elevated tees that give you a look over the entire southern part of the beautiful Tucson Landscape. Strenuous uphill holes with forced carries over natural desert and sloping, well-bunkered greens demand a full repertoire of a of a golfers shot-making skills. The toughest hole most likely is #11, a 625-yard, par 5, which requires two forced carries over thorny swathes of raw desert country. "Golf Digest" selected this course 7th in the category of "Best New Upscale Courses" for 1996, and they also rated it as the 11th "Best in State" course for 1997-98. "GOLF Magazine" selected it 76th in its 1998 category of the "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S." Walking is permitted, but it is a mountain course and locals recommend that you ride. The nine-hole rate is available after 2:30 PM. The 5,839-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 73.0 and a slope of 129. CHAMPIONS ROOM

Arizona National Golf Club also shows its support of the University of Arizona Wildcats throughout the facility from the golf carts to the Wall of Fame near the 18th green. The most spectacular display of Wildcat history, is displayed in the “Champions Room”. You’ll find tour bags from Annika Sorenstam, Jim Furyk, Ricky Barnes and many other famous University of Arizona stand-outs. You’ll also find each of the University of Arizona’s three NCAA National Championship trophies along with other Wildcat memorabilia, each rich in history. Arizona National displays over 10 former University of Arizona golfers that have won USGA events over the years.
