STARR PASS GOLF CLUB

Meandering through the majestic Tucson Mountains, the three nines at Starr Pass Golf Club (Rattler, Roadrunner & Coyote) offer five sets of tee boxes providing a great test for golfers of all skill levels. From a challenging back tee at over 7,000 yards, to a more forgiving golf course at 5,213 yards, Starr Pass offers unbelievable views of the Tucson Valley, and utilizes its natural terrain to provide a spectacular setting.
The golf course was originally designed by Robert Cupp along with a group of PGA touring pros, and re-designed in 2003 by Arnold Palmer and his design team at Palmer Course Design.
Whether driving from elevated tees on the side of the rugged mountains or carrying golf shots across natural desert washes, this breathtaking golf experience is further enhanced by an abundance of Upper Sonoran Desert vegetation and incredible wildlife.
Don't be surprised if you have to wait for a pack of coyotes to stop howling or a family of deer to cross the lush fairways. Add roadrunners, javelinas, bobcats and an array of desert birds, it will be a golf experience to remember. Starr Pass is just that, a true desert golf experience.
The Starr Pass legend began over 120 years ago when Richard Starr crafted a trail through the rugged and majestic Tucson Mountains. Today, the legend continues as the Coyote's 6th fairway marks this trail and has earned the honor of being named the 3rd best hole in Tucson golf. This 27 hole, Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Facility, is a true desert golf experience as all of the hazards are completely natural elements of the surrounding desert environment. The three nines, which wind their way through the mountains and natural arroyos, are aptly named after the ever-present desert wildlife - Rattler, Road Runner, and Coyote. Starr Pass Country Club was the host facility for the PGA Tour's Tucson Open from 1988 to 1995. Let the PGA Golf Staff at Vacation Caddy assist you with your next Starr Pass Golf Club vacation
